Such wonderful accommodation in a fabulous setting.  Was there over New Year 25/26 and thoroughly enjoyed our time in such a spectacular location. It had all the facilities we'd hoped for, fully fitted kitchen, washer, drier, dishwasher, etc. Large living room space with good family size dining table.  There were four bedrooms for us to select from.  The front bedroom has incredible sea views, where you can see from Scarborough all the way across to Yons Nab, near Filey.  I was certainly surprised by the size of the bed in our room.  I stand 6' 8" in my stocking feet and normally hang over the end of the bed.  Not so in this bed, as it was as long as I am, which is a real treat for me! On the outside there's easy access to local towns, with all they have to offer, even off season: Filey, Scarborough, Bridlington and Whitby. There's easy access from the main road with enough parking at the house for three cars. This is a very quiet, out of the way location makes for a peaceful, relaxing break away from it all.  Fabulous location if you're a rambler, with the Cleveland Way passing just in front of the house. On New Year's day we had a bracing walk along the clean beach. Again we had spectacular views towards Scarborough.  Enjoyed watching the surfers braving the chilly waters so they could go and catch some large waves that were rolling in.  If you're a surfer then there's a surf shop just behind the house too. One of my hobbies is Astronomy and I was blown away by the low light pollution and clear, dark skies right outside the front door of the property.  On the outskirts of Scarborough is something called 'Star Disk'. Information on the Visit North Yorkshire website it says it's the largest illuminated "Star Disk" in the UK. If you search the Internet you may find astronomy events taking place locally, at such places like Bempton Cliffs and Dalby Forrest, both roughly 30 minutes car drive away. Thank you for a wonderful New Year break by the sea! The house is large, well equipped, comfortable and cosy with everything you might need. We loved the panoramic sea views, from Scarborough to Filey headlands. There are two sloping paths down to the beach, where we enjoyed bracing walks by the sea. Returning to the log burner was a joy! The bed was very comfy and we slept really well. Views are either of the sea, or relaxing rural views at the rear of the property. We look forward to returning so we can explore the headland clifftop walks in both directions. A great base for walkers and ramblers and the lack of light pollution and unobstructed views of the night sky makes this an ideal location for astronomers. The house is close to Scarborough and Filey, and there are more things to do and see in nearby Bridlington, Flamborough and Whitby. After loosing my mum in October, I decided that Christmas needed to be done differently. I booked Floraville for my family in the hope that it would be easier for us, having never been away for Christmas before I was a little anxious about it. I had contact with the owner before our arrival, who was so genuinely kind, caring and helpful. The house is in the most amazing location, out of the way in a secluded position, the sea views and sounds were perfect and just a couple of minutes walk down hill to the beautiful beach. The house was perfectly clean, with everything that we needed for our stay. The main bedroom has a beautiful sea view, the beds are comfortable and warm with storage space for clothes in each bedroom. The living area has plenty of comfortable seating, with 2 corner seats and foot stools right by the window with the sea view, we all loved the added touch of a telescope to look through, the dinning table sat 6 people for Christmas dinner, the kitchen has a good supply of equipment, with a really efficient oven and hob. The log burner was lovely in the evenings and added a cosy effect, but the house was lovely and warm all the time without it. I’m so pleased we chose Floraville for our first Christmas without my mum, it was really special being by the sea in a house we could make our home for the time we were there.

We had a wonderful stay at the Beach House. it is exceptionally clean and has all the appliances and utensils you could possibly need. The log burner is superb on a chilly night, the furniture including beds are so comfy. There are outstanding views of te sea and you are only 4m from Scarborough and Filey.
